Her Arrival
She's here!
Halcyon Ember was born on May 18th, 2007 at 8:46 AM PDT by cesarean section, weighing 8 lbs 9.5 oz, and 20 inches long. All of the family is doing very well, and we expect to be home on Monday May 21st. We're still at the hospital, so no pictures yet, but there will be plenty soon. Thanks so much to everyone who called and sent gifts, it is really appreciated. We hope to see you all soon!
She's on her way!
Her arrival was estimated for May 22-26. There have been a few issues that have caused alarm, like pregnancy induced hypertension and the worry of preclampsia. Both those issues are now under control.
However, we had a long visit on Monday, May 14th and they have estimated her weight to be between 9 lbs - 12 lbs. She's a big girl and because of the other concerns our doctor believes a cesarean section will be the safest for the delivery.
So her arrival is scheduled for Friday, May 18th at Swedish Medical Center. Strangely, the same day as the anniversary of Mt. St. Helen's eruption! We are looking forward to her and will let everyone know how things go as soon as we can.
