Kingfisher

Kingfishers are a short, small, hardy bird with large, sharp beaks. They are found throughout the world and fall into three families, the Alcedinidae river birds, Halcyonidae tree birds, and Cerylidae water birds. There are about 90 different species of kingfisher.

These beautiful birds are incredibly skilled hunters. Their eyes have evolved to see well in the air and water. Making it easy for them to dive for fish and crayfish. Kingfishers are also able to dominate reptiles and beat their prey to death.
